On 20th June 2024, the Library organized an online workshop on “VOS viewer: Data
Visualisation Tool for Effective Communication” by Dr Vinod Kumar Mishra, Assistant
Librarian, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha. The session started at 10.00
am with a prayer, and Dr.T.Thilagavathy, Assistant Librarian, welcomed the participants. Dr.
K. Mahalakshmi, Assistant Librarian, introduced the chief guest and handed over the
platform to the resource person. Initially, he introduced the concepts of VOSviewer, followed
by an online demo with the sample data from databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.
The session ended with an interaction from the participants to clear their doubts.
Mrs.Selvanayagi, the Assistant Librarian, proposed a formal vote of thanks. There were 141
participants, of which 34 were staff members.
